Practical Cats, Jellicle Balls and Book Fairs
Greetings Dear Readers,
This weekend promises many social opportunities for the bookish person. First, one of Mr Drinkwater's favorite books, Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, is the focus of activities at Caledon. On Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., there is a Jellicle Ball scheduled, sponsored by the Caledon Library Benefactors. Please show your support for the Library by attending.
Being a Practical Cat, Mr Drinkwater scheduled a discussion of Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats for Sunday at 2:00 p.m. This book shows a lighter side of the poet Mr T.S. Eliot, who is perhaps better known for grim works such as The Waste Land.
Also taking place this weekend is the annual Book Island/Publishers Island Book Fair. Activities begin Friday evening and run through Sunday. Mr Simeon Beresford will be hosting his weekly trivia game at Book Island on Sunday at 11 a.m. The complete events calendar is included below.
Sincerely,
Dame Kghia
